Job Opportunity: Cleaner
Salary: WAT Grade B pt.2 (FTE £23,656) - actual salary is dependent on mutually agreed working hours.
Contract: Part-time, permanent, Term time plus all inset days. Additional weeks available up to 42 working weeks.
Hours: Negotiable (working pattern: 5:30am - 8:00am and/or 3:30pm – 6:00pm)
Start date: ASAP
St Augustine Academy is dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and supportive learning environment for our students and staff. We are looking for a reliable and diligent Cleaner to join our team and help maintain our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitizing classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Ensuring surfaces, floors, and windows are spotless and well-maintained.
- Handling cleaning equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to the site team.
- Working as part of a team to ensure the cleanliness of the entire academy.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a similar cleaning role preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow health and safety protocols.
- Enhanced DBS check required.

DBS Checks
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Amendment Order 1986 and, as such, it will be necessary for a Submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
