Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Physical Education to commence in September 2025. Maths as a second subject is also required.

The role:

We seek a committed fulltime PE teacher who is enthusiastic, passionate and has high expectations of all students. We are looking for someone with the ability to teach PE across the full age range of our school, with a particular focus on KS3 and KS4, including GCSE PE. Experience of teaching academic PE would be an advantage. The timetable also includes some Maths teaching and so the successful candidate will have Maths as their second subject. Some experience of Maths teaching would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who is able to maximise the potential of all our pupils. They will use teaching and assessment effectively to ensure that all pupils know and remember key knowledge and skills. We are also looking for a colleague who can make a significant contribution to the wider sporting life of the school, through extra-curricular sports.

PE is in our vibrant Sport and Technology Faculty, where staff are supported by a team of colleagues who work together and support each other. Excellence in sport is at the heart of our school and we have an outstanding track record in competitive sport as well as a range of internal House competitions and a weekly Activities Programme within the timetable where other sports are offered. There are three PE teachers within the faculty and a PE Assistant.

There is the possibility of TLR3 for the leadership of Primary PE for the right candidate.
